I dipped my foot in to the ever so smooth, crystal clear perfect water. Just once. Just to try it. It was enticing. I was suddenly overcome with the joys and wonders this perfect pond brought me, just with that one touch. I wanted more. I took a step in. Each day, I slowly inched towards the middle. Once I finally reached the near impossible goal of being in the absolute center of this pond, I wanted out. I struggled, but I was stuck, submerged and drowning.
